Moroccan Film

Early in the summer of 2009 he finished shooting the film Mighiss, a production of Bravo Production directed by the resident filmmaker in Marrakech Jamal Belmajdoub, featuring Moroccan and European capital. More than two years ago that Belmajdoub dreams of this project and is now seeing finally to realize his dream: tell a story based on real facts about the war between Spanish and rifian in the early 20th century. Belmajdoub says that another thing is a movie that condemns more than any war: during the shooting I was reminded of the atrocities in Gaza. Mighiss (which means intelligence or boldness) is in fact a movie of love and war that portrays the plight experienced by the inhabitants of the villages of the Rif Mountains because of the offensive by the Spanish army under the command of a sadistic military high command that has as the only aim to conquer the area although it may to raze villages or murdering and torturing innocent people. Special effects, hundreds of extras and explosions are insured in this war film.

In any case, and as we have already said, there is also a space for romanticism and Eroticism in this film that contrasts the different ways of inhabiting two cultures portrayed love to a certain point: the rifian and the Spanish. The production has also counted with the participation of several / as actors and actresses Spanish/ACE: Roberto Cerda, Javier Rey, Juan Manuel Rodriguez, Melida Molina and Alicia Murillo are some of them. The Spanish cast fully coincides in large differences in the form and conditions of work between Spain and Morocco. They point out that, regardless of the means of Moroccan productions, the pace of work is different. There is also a great enthusiasm and a desire to overcome the obstacles that has motivated much to European artists.

Almost all the filming was conducted outdoors, specifically in rural areas of mountains near the city of FES, during the month of June, what did that working conditions were very hard due to the stifling heat. Despite this the team always worked with illusion and the result of that enthusiasm is undoubtedly reflected in the images of Mighiss which is currently in phase of Assembly and that will be released within several months on the big screen. The film is recorded in two languages, rifan and Spanish, and subtitulara order to be able to comply with the original version. For Belmajdoub, this is his second feature film. The first was the dream Moroccan (Maroccan Dream) and has also directed various projects for television as Class 8.
